Artificial Brain

The excellently-named Artificial Brain came into being in 2009 and continues the tradition of fine New York death metal bands. This is advanced, dissonant, technical stuff, the kind of material that, as one reference point, Gorguts did in their heyday, while the extremely low-pitched gutteral growls might remind one of the cult band Demilich (both Gorguts and Demilich are acknowledged as influences by the band). Lyrically the focus is on space and otherworldly topics, a welcome respite from the more common gore themes.
