Catharsis
The obscure American band Catharsis signed to the tiny
Nordic Metal label (the same label as
Lord Bane),
and suffered the same fate as that band, that being
releasing one highly regarded but seldom heard album
before promptly disappearing.
Pathways To Wholeness is an excellent slice of
technically-minded progressive metal, blending the
right amount of subtely melody and crunchy riffing,
with some fine musicianship from all three members.
A shame that this band's life was so short, there was
great potential here.
