English Dogs

Although more well-known as a classic 80's punk band, the English Dogs clearly had a metal side, that became more and more prevalent for their later material. Even by the time of Forward Into Battle in 1986, they had signed to the Music For Nations label and had a definite punky, pre-thrash speed metal style. Eventually the band ran its course and semi-metamorphosed into a band called Janus Stark.

Like a lot of punk bands, their history and lineups are a bit muddled, and this is further confused by the fact that two different factions emerged in the 2000's, both going by the name English Dogs. For lack of a better name, these two factions are listed here as English Dogs (1) and English Dogs (2).
