Ophis

This German band deals in classic doomdeath, a style that has faded somewhat since early days when bands like and Paradise Lost were pioneering this blend of death vocals and ponderous doom. As heard here on 2017's The Dismal Circle, the band is ultra slow and ultra heavy, reminding one a bit of prime Ahab. A perfect example of sticking to the confines of a given genre and still hitting it out of the park.
