Torque
Given their heritage (the band features two ex-members of the Bay
Area thrash band
Vio-lence),
Torque sound about what one might expect, mixing more traditional
early-nineties thrash with a more contemporary feel (often, a
similarity to
Pantera is evident).
Though not revolutionary, the band play with aggression and
conviction, and is recommended to fans of bands like Pantera and
Machine Head.
Two members were later seen in
Technocracy,
and after that guitarist Phil Demmel joined his friend Robb
Flynn in Machine Head.
