Hail Of Bullets

Hail Of Bullets was essentially a Dutch version of a death metal supergroup, as the guys here had collectively spent time in seemingly every notable Dutch death band, including Pestilence, Thanatos, Asphyx, and Gorefest. So, no real suprises on this band's debut, ... Of Frost And War, as it features a typically intense, grindy form of Euro death metal, with Martin van Drunen (arguably the most well-known and well-travelled of the bunch) contributing rather hoarse, raspy vocals. Not exactly cutting-edge material here, but that probably wasn't the goal here, as it's more likely the guys just wanted to get together to bash out some old-school death metal to past the time. The boys went on to release two more full-length albums, but personal issues between the members cropped up, with Martin Van Drunen leaving the band in late 2015 and the group eventually deciding to give it up altogether in March 2017.
