Act Of Denial
Act Of Denial seems to have come out of nowhere.
The band originates from Croatia, but this is an international
affair with four of the six residing outside that country,
and the oft-abused term "supergroup" almost applies here with the
presence of Björn Strid
(
Soilwork
and many others)
and will-play-anywhere bassist Steve DiGiorgio
(too many to list).
The guys quickly came together, releasing their debut album
Negative in 2021, only a year after their formation.
Befitting the pedigrees here, the band sound like old pros, playing
a fairly safe yet still energetic brand of accessible modern
melodic death metal.
Too soon to tell if this is a project-only affair or the start of something
big, but
Negative has major-player written all over it.
