Solstice

Floridians just couldn't get enough death metal in the nineties, as the state produced a multitude of quality bands during that time. Solstice wasn't as well known as their contempories such as Obituary or Deicide, but they did manage two albums in 1992 and 1995, and after several disbandments and reformations, came together to release a third album in 2006.

Note: no relation to the British doom band Solstice.
