Zyklon-B
A true black metal supergroup, Zyklon-B paired the
Emperor
core of Ihsahn and Samoth with
Satyricon's
Frost and
Dødheimsgard
vocalist Aldrahn.
This was really more of a side project, as the main bands were in
full force in 1995 with the
Blood Must Be Shed EP,
a three-track affair of blistering old-school black metal,
was released.
Eventually the project ran its course and Samoth formed the
more well-known
Zyklon,
which, despite the name similarity, is not regarded as a continuation
or a relation to this band.
