Aborted

Sometimes a band name pretty much says it all. What else, other than brutal death metal, could a band named Aborted play? Sure enough, gore-laden death metal in the mold of, say, prime Carcass, is what these Belgians produce, with the over-the-top song titles and album covers that seem to be prerequisites for this genre. Many point to 2003's Goremageddon as their best album, though the only album reviewed here is the more recent Archaic Abbatoir, where there's just a bit of groove amidst the gore and grind.
