Moonspell

Moonspell was the first Portuquese metal band to break worldwide, bursting on the scene with the stunning Wolfheart album, mixing doomdeath, goth-styled keyboards, and various old metal influences to create one of the most dynamic and memorable albums of 1995. Since then, the band has tinkered with the gothic metal formula but never really wavered from it, releasing a string of well-received albums. They are close to celebrating 30 years in the business, and may be heading toward saying farewell (especially considering the title of their recent EP, Before the Lights Go Out), though their staus as the most popular Portuguese metal band ever is surely cemented by now.
